I had fun making a necklace and bracelet set for my mother for Mother's Day Here are some pictures. The theme was pansies and I designed and made the lampwork beads that I used to make it.  I call it Pensee because pansy comes from the french word for thought and I wanted her to know that I was thinking about her when I made it,

Well last week was a flurry of activity around the local area Bead Bop.  Five bead stores in the Ottawa area take part every year and offer special discounts, demonstrations and draws to attract new customers.  Your passport gets you a bag of goodies and the opportunity to see the demonstrations and take part in the in-store specials.  My mother and I spent two full days touring.  It was so much fun! We are definitely going back next year and I would recommend it to anyone who is interested in making jewellery either as a hobby or if you are a jewellery designer.Ottawa Bead Bop
